As a Quant Researcher — Sports Models you'll design probabilistic models that forecast sports outcomes, market movements and betting opportunities. You'll validate models using rigorous statistical methods, backtest against historical data, and refine them based on live trading feedback.
You'll collaborate with data scientists who find the signals, traders who execute your models, and engineers who make the infrastructure count. Your models generate returns.
What you'll do day to day
Develop probabilistic frameworks that model sports outcomes, team strength evolution and market dynamics.
Rigorously test models against historical data using walk-forward analysis and statistical significance testing.
Explore new sources of edge: factor models, Bayesian approaches, time-series methods, market microstructure.
Monitor live performance, identify degradation quickly, and iterate improvements based on real outcomes.
