WiseBetCore is the technology and research arm of WiseBet — a private company and active market maker across sports and prediction-market exchanges. We build and operate proprietary systems that price probability in real time across multiple markets.
As a Senior Scala Backend Engineer you'll design and operate the data platform that powers our trading systems. You'll build pipelines that ingest market data, sports information and trading feedback at scale; design systems that serve that data with the latency and consistency our traders require; and optimize for both speed and reliability.
You'll collaborate with traders who consume the data, quants who analyze it, and infrastructure engineers who keep everything running. Your platform enables the entire operation.
What you'll do day to day
Design and build scalable data ingestion pipelines that handle market data, sports feeds and trading signals reliably and at scale.
Build distributed systems that serve data to trading systems and models with microsecond-level latency and strong consistency guarantees.
Continuously optimize for throughput, latency and resource efficiency — profiling, benchmarking and iterating on the entire stack.
Design for reliability: monitoring, alerting, failover and disaster recovery to keep the trading platform running 24/7.
